La Conner Track Meet

Yesterday we went to la Conner and I did really bad. In discus i only threw 65 feet and i usually throw in the 70's. In high jump I only cleared the first height which is 4 feet and I got out on 4 feet 2 inches. In the 100 meter dash I did alright but still not very good. Langley still took first in discus even though everyone wasn't throwing well. Mason took first place by a half inch. , but i don't know how far it was, I think it was like 80 something feet. In high jump I thnk langley won 7th grade but not 8th grade. In the 100 meter dash langley won both heatsof 8th grade boys. overall it was fun except for the bus ride home i had a headache.

Track Meet

On monday we went to sultan and langley dominated. Sultan only got 15 points for the 8th grade boys and ours got 62 points. In discus i did alright i got 66 feet 8 inches. langley took first second and third for discus. Mason got first, casey got second and garret got 3rd. I was right after garret. In high jump I did alright but not very good I was one away from placing in that too. A sultan kid won high jump and langley was 2nd and 3rd. In the 100 meter dash it was funny because it was all langley, nobody from sultan did the 100. I did really bad in the 100 because I didn't get off my blocks soon enough. We missed a couple relay because it started pooring down rain, so we left early. over all it was a pretty fun track meet.

Skateboarding video

In bergquist we watched a skateboarding video.

I like the video because I like to skateboard and also because the explosions were cool. I want to know if they were actually damaging the skatepark or if it was just special effecs, if they were actually damaging it I wonder if thay had to pay for it or maybe they owned the skatepark. I wonder if they were professional skateboarders, My favorite part of the video was when the guy did a kickflip over the stairs and the stairs blew to pieces.

Mentor

For my 8th grade project my mentor I have Mr. Terhar. I don't really like him because he is mean to me. It is pretty funny when he kicks Alex and Shane out of the multipurpose room because it is funny to listen to them whine. I can't really judge him though because I havent really got to know him very well. I don't know why he is my mentor because I think that Mr. B whould be a better mentor for me because he knows more about gillnetting. I don't think that he will be a good mentor because he will probably just mes up my project.

Skateboarding

A couple days ago I went to the skate park because I hadn't gone skateboarding in a long time. I always wanted to be able to drop in but I had never done it before. This time I wanted to do it really bad. So I tried it first on the small quarter pipe. The first time I did it I fell straight on my butt. I tried a few more times and finally got it down. After that I tried the smaller sidee of the half pipe wich is bigger than the quarter pipe. I fell a few times and then got it down. Then I went to the biggest part of the half pipe and I did it the first time. Now I can drop in and I am happy.

Dog

A couple of weeks ago my dad's friend Ronnie Carlson wanted us to watch his dog named Hank while he went on vacation. I think that Hank is going back home today or tommorow. Hank is some kind of small curly haired dog, but him and my golden lab named Zena, it is reall spelt Xena but i spell it Zena get along. It's funny because my dog eats her dog food and his, so we have to feed them at different times. Its funny when they play around and fight because Zena always pins him on the gruond. It is going to be sad when Hank has to go because everyone is kind of attached to him, especially Zena.
